Fishguard Flyers Membership Costs

Once you have completed the free 3 week trial you will be offered membership with Fishguard Flyers. We work in partnership with our local Leisure Centres at Fishguard and Crymych and Swim Wales. You will need to pay the Leisure Centre a monthly fee by direct debit for the required Tier payment each month.

This enables swimmers to attend the Flyers sessions and other swimming activities at the Leisure Centres. The monthly fee contributes towards the cost of pool hire, insurance and the employment of the County Coaches who support our Flyers Coaches and swimmers at Club level but also train our County swimmers within a structured training pathway.

Tiered Membership Overview from 1st June 2026

Tier 1: Water Dragons – £26.00

Up to 2 hours of club coaching per week

Includes one term of Stage 7 lessons for new members joining after completing Wave 6

Tier 2: Development Club – £36.80

Between 2 and 8 hours of Development Club session time

Tier 3: Academy – £44.10

Between 2 and 8 hours of Development Club session time

Includes Saturday morning sessions with the County Squad

Tier 4: Transition – £49.90

Between 2 and 8 hours of Development Club session time

Includes Saturday and Thursday morning sessions with the County Squad

Tier 5: County Development – £55.20

9 to 12 hours of County coaching per week

Tier 6: County – £60.90

12+ hours of County coaching per week

	Included with All Tiered Memberships All tiered memberships include access to the following (subject to normal admission policies and availability): Public and family swimming Fitness Suite access (following induction): Ages 13+: unrestricted access Ages 11–12: junior fitness sessions only Sauna and steam room access: Ages 16+ Ages 13–16 when accompanied by a responsible adult Group exercise classes: Junior classes (ages 11–12) Adult classes (ages 13+) One aquatic session per week (Swimfit or Rookies), subject to availability One term of Wave 7 lessons, taken concurrently with an initial term within the Development Club To access this offer, Development Club membership must be taken out at the time of enrolment Available to members on Tier 1




	Swim Wales and Fishguard Flyers Club membership is necessary too. For this you need to register with Swim Wales. The annual fee consists of a Swim Wales fee of £39.00 and a £16.00 Fishguard Flyers fee per swimmer. The £16.00 Flyers fee helps us cover some of the costs of running the Club, and is the only payment Fishguard Flyers asks for.

All Coaches and Committee members are unpaid and give up their time to support young people and adults achieve their swimming ambitions. Membership to Swim Wales is a necessary part of training and volunteering with Fishguard Flyers Club, the membership and fee is renewed and paid annually and allows members to access training, safeguarding procedures, insurance and entrance to galas etc.
